i hope to hide in the shop daily to get some solitude ....

Kenny,

ill never forget the day i got married, pretty good bargin for my last $17.00 all i had left to pay the preacher with....

Corey,

i got that $26.00 set for $9.00 Ebay
the black walnut hollow tools ain't as good as the older chrome finished ones i have a set of them too... but ill be the sharpener and honer so it dont matter

her thoughts of the palm tools "great now i can learn how to wiggle them sharp end tools around the boards to make decoration"... grrrrrr

Good thinking Thomas! It will help keep her occupied during her healing process and it fulfills the anniversary gift requirement all in one fell swoop! Now the question will be if she keeps you hopping with help and honing more than she'd have kept you hopping if she didn't have a project to work on. LOL

Actually, I think it is pretty cool that she is interested enough because of you that she wants to give it a try. That's love right there so it doesn't surprise me you have a big anniversary coming up. Congratulations!

Becky,
you know it gal!
if her carving skills increase and she stays with it long enough to dull a blade, you can guess what the next lesson will be.... honing 101..
fish or cut bait!

she is so impressed with any artistic skill she just gets overwhelmed... but as i told her, my artistic ability's are practiced its nothing your born with, it has come to me after practice of many years of tinkering with different mediums, and she has the same ability's just undiscovered and nurtured....

i know what you mean ron,

just seams like yesterday i was made of tough grissle and bobwire, now today i feel like a bundle of mud and dry sticks popping and grinding with every move... oh and the old man grown!....ha!

Just reading what you say about your little bride Thomas, one can tell, there is still Romance in the old man. Keep it up my friend. We all waited to grow old together with our little brides.

indeed happy anniversary,
Tomas, i was in the woodcraft store, in Columbus oh this morning, got to talking to a fellow carver, from Newark,oh, somehow your name was mentioned, i have been out of town for a few days and he told me about you post this morning,
and they think the boys in the south are asleep,
the man was from 45 miles east of Columbus , me 65 south, and there we stand in the store talking about a Cajun care taker.
matter fact if i have not had to pick up the Little woman we would still be there , hope he gets up to see tom h, soon,
bless you guys and this board, like the man said , who would have thunk?
but remember the student always surpasses the master.
Sam
