Sounds like a good idea, maybe carve a face on the golf ball first. ![]() Dave |

Should be a good handle. I use golf balls on small screwdrivers and on my small files and I think they're great.

fellow told me that he used the golf balls because of the smoother round surface, doesn't hurt his hands when he carves, really does make sense, but not be the bright one of the bunch, didn't ask how he attached the tooling to the ball. Figured maybe cut in 1/2, then cut in groove for the tang of the sk tool, and put back together, except you might loose some of the smoothness from the glue joint. no idea at this point in time!.....I was hoping someone else heard of or used this approach? Hey Dennis, I just drilled a hole in the ball, filled it with JB weld and stuck in the file. Proped it up overnight and there you are. I put some flex-cut blades in wood handles the same way.

do you recall the drill bit size?.....does the handle work good for you?....thinking about it, the sk blades the edges sit against the wooden handle, do you have a problem with the tooling in the ball?.....seems like it would be pretty comforable to use, I use the tools minus a handle most of the time, only because I don't care for either the power or palm handle. What about 5 minute epoxy, I have made knives that way. I would not worry about cutting a grove, I would just drill a hole. Dave |
