Soul I have never used the G2 epoxy so can't comment on it. I have on the other hand used the West System epoxy quite a bit, over ten gallons of the stuff ( 4 cedar strip canoes and various wood working projects) and whether the wood is oily or not it will bond. I have used it on teak a very oily wood, cocobolo, east african paduk, ziricote, and several others never had a failure (glue joint that is!) Here is the link to the lee valley west systems.
