I DID do a search on this topic but didnt find anything. How do I get those little thumbnail pictures into my posts? Anyone willing to tell me step by step instructions?

Thanks. Marci.

Hi Marci, found this in the FAQ's this will explain better than I can.

Quote:
To attach a file to a new post, simply click the [Browse] button at the bottom of the post composition page, and locate the file that you want to attach from your local hard drive.

Only certain types of files may be attached: these are the valid file extensions for files to be attached to this forum: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip.

After posting, the attachment will show up in the body of your message. To view the contents of the attachment (if it is not already displayed) simply click the filename link that appears next to the attachment icon .

I save my images between 400 and 500 pixel.
Kathy

Hi Marci: As far as I can tell you used the 'Quick Reply' and I can't see that option there. But when I click on ' Reply' it's there.

Save the image you want to upload in a file on your computer say at 400 pixel.
Start a thread in the forum you are interested in. Type in your message, then scroll down and click on 'Manage Attachments'
Go to where you have the file saved on your computer and upload it. If your upload is successful the file name will show. Then your image/images will be in clickable thumb nail format.
Does this help?
Kathy

Ok.. let me see if I can get this figured out. I took notes from you post to read as I go. Thanks.

I'm going to try to bring up the snowman I did tonight. Its an ornament and not quite finished. I still need to slop some stain on it and wipe it down. I drew this one myself and carved it with a dremel.

Thank you. Yes, I used acrylics on it. Then last night I put a stain of walnut on it and wiped it off. That made it really old looking, and I think it turned out looking nice.

Thanks again for your help on this picture posting thing.. somehow I knew it would be easy and yet I couldnt figure it out.

Well your doing better than me because I have too many pixels. I can't get any of the three photo editing programs I have to save the picture once I edit it. I'm working on it.
