Default Gene's holiday lessons

I haven't had time to post in a while and decided to offer a couple of photos. I completed my 17th month of trying to learn carving and watched some of Gene's super tutorials this week. One of the kids asked for an old world Santa so I had to make 3 for each to have one. Tried to do them as identicle as possible. They are from memory watching Gene and not close to the quality of his work but a lot of fun. The elf is my take on the elf ornament Gene came up with.

Great Santa and Christmas carvings! Like others have mentioned, Gene's videos are the tops!!! Looks like you capitalized on his efforts and made your own unique... He's inspired several of my carvings and given me and soooo many others the confidence to try wood carving. Again, thanks for sharing and nice carvings!!!
Safe carving to you!
Kenn
