Default Gene Messer's holiday ornaments

I noticed Gene Messer's snowman tutorial on youtube but he only said the thickness of it. My dimensions are 2 3/4 by 4 1/4 inches. Can someone give me the real dimensions of the snowman because mine seems to small? I also saw his teardrop santa but he only said ity was on a 2in block of wood. I suspected this to mean it is 2 inches by 2 inches. The length is more but I don't know what it is. I estimated it to be 4 inches but am I correct?

You're right. He doesn't mention length and width. There are a couple of things you can do.

If you're comfortable with your drawing ability, you can pause the video and try to duplicate his drawing on a piece of 1/2 inch basswood. Then just cut it out. If your dimensions are a bit different from his, it doesn't really matter.

Depending on how good you are with the computer, you could pause the video, take a screen shot, and then edit that picture to make the snowman however large you want.

2 inches by 4 inches looks close to right. Although I'll be the first to admit that I'm not so good at judging measurements like that.

Hi gang .. the snowman is only about 4 inches long 3/4 inches wide .. but remember this is a christmas ornament .. if you wnat to make it bigger . just put the pattern on a copy machine and enlarge it ..

the teardrop santa is from a 2 inch piece of wood
