Gene Messer's 5 Minute Bear Video Companion

After watching Gene Messer's great video on carving the 5 Minute Bear, I thought some additional still graphics might be useful to go by rather than pausing and starting on the computer. I haven't actually used this yet so I don't really know how useful it might be. The attached is a PDF of clips from Gene's video that shows some of the major steps. Makes it easier for my slow mind and tired eyes to keep up. Of course Gene's video is indispensible in showing the cuts and techniques he uses for each step, not to mention listening to him is like having him carving with you. Anybody find it useful?

Thanks Ron, I actually did what you just said - watched Gene's video over lunch - pausing/starting - lol (not as fast as Gene is - he he).

This is a gerat reminder after have carved one of Genes bears to keep in toolbox. Will be a great "crutch" when sitting out on patio carving and computer is not handy!

Ron... Great job! Thanks. I've made so many of them that I've more or less got the process down to muscle memory but you can always learn something new and having it so that it can be printed out so that you can take it with you when you don't have a computer is priceless! Also, we repeatedly get requests from carvers' who want to carve bears that need something like this so you've really done the Forum a great service. Nice work!
