Welcome aboard.

The club search link to the left of this page lists several clubs in NC. The John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC offers several carving classes.

Good luck.

Welcome. In NC thee are carving clubs all around you. Statesville, Hickory, Raleigh, Charlotte, plus more. Carvers everywhere. Carving magazine usually lists clubs in each state alsoChip Chats (National Woodcarver's) Woodcarving Illustrated list some also. You shouldn't have to much of a problem finding help in this state.

Welcome to the group. If you have the time, check out John C. Campbell's Folk School. www.folkschool.org They have week long and weekend carving classes by some of the best carvers in the country. I'd also recommend CarvingVideos.com They have carving videos from carvers, a couple from this forum, Mark Akers and Allen Goodman. You can also get "roughouts" along with the DVD's.

This is an excellent forum and it's very helpful.

Welcome.

Go to the Woodworking shop in W/S and ask about a local club/classes. There's one near the mall. I'm pretty sure that there's a club there or in Kernersville. Ralph Long makes knives and lives in K-ville.

The Charlotte show in on the third weekend in Feb. You can read about it here as the time gets closer.

There is a few carvers in Mocksville (members of Statesville and Hickory clubs).
