Free Carving Bench Plans

Hi all

I am looking for some plans for a simple carving bench. I am not looking for much one that I can work on, have a place for some tools, and a light. If anyone know so fo any it would be greatly appreciated!

If you are talking about a "shaving horse" put that in google, you will find lots of them

I use a couple of old kitchen chairs with a sheet of plywood nailed across the arms. Instant workbench!

Unfortunately, the wife still hasn't forgiven me for swiping 2 chairs....

Thats a great shop bench. One I would love to have. I am looking for the type that sits in your living room. If I had kitchen chairs I think I would give your idea a go whitecree, but we have benches.

I use the small B&D workmate table with a redesigned top... i just put stoppers in the holes i need to hold the carving, tighten it up and go from there...

I'm making my own. Along the lines of this http://www.woodblock.info/bootcamp/hori-dai.html.
I've seen similar in this forum http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.co....php/photo/477.
My base is larger than the tilting board so there will be a small area for tools and I will attach a block of wood for a lamp. I'll post picts when it's completed.
