Well I'm back from my trip safe and sound. It was wonderful to meet Dave & Tammy in Castlegar and get to see Dave's workshop. His work is absolutely wonderful and his studio makes one drool, (it's a good thing I had some towels in the truck). Thanks Dave for inviting me to meet you and see your work

I really would like to thank everyone's kind comments and encouragement. It's wonderful to get such strong support!

Hey there Lindy. Thanks for coming by and visiting. Your carvings were wonderful too. Loved the Cougar. Its always nice to have people drop by my studio...it gets lonely here some days all by myself, so it was nice to have someone to talk to. Your always welcome when your in Castlegar ( and anyone else who is passing through...although we are a little off the beaten path).

Hey Dave,

I didn't realize you're not a member on the message board. For thos of you who haven't seen his work, here is his website: http://www.snowcottagecarvings.com

I'm sure you'll enjoy his work as much as I do. Dave, I still think my favourites are the ones with the kayaks, both the one of just Santa in a single kayak as well as Santa and the Polar Bear in the double. My mother wold go crazy over those since she just took up kayaking 2 or 3 years ago and she is turning 65 this year. Pretty amazing, plus I have her to thank for getting me into this carving addiction/hobby. She started carving with Don Williams at Lee Valley about 2 years ago as well.

Well, I hope everyone enjoys Dave's carvings as much as I did.

Lindy
