Default first try

hello all i must first say wow to all the pro carvers out there.this is my first attempt at carving so go gentle on me i live up in the mountains in greece so have access to plenty of wood this effort is in lemon and all work was done with a standard utility knife i think i will be buying a flexcut k12 as my next step all comments good or bad are well recieved as i have no clue how i'm doing oh and it stands around 9 inches tall with a diameter of around 5 inch

Well done! About the only advice I can offer is "cut deeper". Sink the eyes a little deeper and give some thickness to the moustache.

You're off to a great start.
