Default First Carving (Santa)

Just like I said, my first carving of a santa that I painted and sealed last night. It wasn't a great wood because the grain is thick. I know its not a masterpiece, give your honest opinions and any tips would be great.

I curious to know what he saw that he wasn't supposed to see. I guess that's what happens sneaking into houses in the middle of the night. Love the expression on his face.

He's a good first carving! Keep him and you'll see how fast you progress! My first Santa was very similar and my wife puts him up every Christmas!
