Default First Carving

I started out with the OSU logo to get a feel for my knives, then had a neighbor cut out Oskar for me. I couldn't put him down once I started him. I thought I would try the Scandinavian style to start with. He is more refined now than the picture . I plan to dip him in linseed oil and use a paint wash on him. I plan to do Sara next to give Oskar some company.

Great start on both, but let me say the lettering on the logo is spot on, really a nice little piece. Bill

Buck, for your first carving you did a great job. I would figure that half the people on here have carved old Oscar and you hung right in there, good job.
