Borderline, you did a great job on your first carving, I totally agree, sign, date and number it on the back (or bottom, in this case). I'm so glad I kept my first carvings, I love comparing my current pieces to them! You really should reconsider giving it to your Mother though, it's something she will love and cherish always!

Wow, I love Charley's work! Come on BobD, can't you whip up one of everything for the little woman?!

When I started Ben had the great idea I'd carve a couple turkey decoys (life size!) for him....oh yeah sweetheart...let me get right on that! Sarcastic I'll put them on my 'to do' list, right behind sharpening all your hunting knives and arrow tips! Probably get to them the day after NEVER!! Deborah

DeborahMy wife thinks like you, she convinced me to give the box as planned even though it is far from perfect. She thinks that it will mean more simply because her son made it, I guess I have to agree.

As a side note - Rick at little shavers is a very helpful and patient person. Looks like I will be placing my order. If I have any success at all with carving, I will owe a lot of it to Rick, And this forum.
