Default A few questions for a newbie

Hey! I have to do a carving for part of my uni project and i do not know where to start. I have to get a branch from outside and carve a item using this branch. Any suggestions or tips?

Many thanks

Here's one thought for you...
SD_Wood_Carvers
(move your cursor down the gouges on the left side to see the steps in the carving.

If you prefer something smaller, try this one... (but on a small branch).

Rooster...if the branch is green. Not sure if it works on dried wood.

Agree with everything above, especially the glove! A thumbguard would be good too. Good luck and post some pics!
