Default Eyelashes

Any advice or references to tutorials on doing eyelashes? Ms Smile I am practicing now just with eyes and finding the eyelashes a bit of a challenge.

Thanks!

You'll have to forgive my greenness, Mark. But are eyelashes traditionally not done? Considered impossible to do? Is there anybody out there that has done them or seen them done? I hate using the word impossible... If y'all tell me it's impossible to do eyelashes it's just gonna make me want to do them! Ms Smile

In wood?

I think you would need to just create a ridge line that would represent eyelashes…kind of like a visor over the eye and then burn in the oversize lashes. Kind of like this duck bill see photo.

Unless you mean using something other then wood and attaching it to the eyelid.

Desiree Hajny will sometimes burn eye lashes on her animal caricatures. It's basically accomplished by burning diagonally across the eye lid - which can be carved or burned in also.

That's a good idea, I can see that working.

I hadn't had anything particular in mind, I can see that working also, as well as painting them on. Thanks for the ideas, Tony.

I am not familiar with Ms. Hajny. Do you know of a reference to her work, like a Website or book or something, that I can view?
