Welcome to the forum! We have also recommended the Murphy Bench Knife for years to those just starting out carving. We have bought many of the Murphy knife from Glacier Woodcarvers and given them away for years. I still like to use mine along with the Flexcut, Helvie, Drake and etc. Have fun carving!

My neighbors do respect me only problem trouble doesn't. I know for a fact that the angles do protect me and heaven will accept me. thanks for those kind words.
