Default A duck, I think.

Other than the rude attempts at the Guilloche moulding yesterday, this is my first carving. I don't have many carving tools, and I think I started too small for what I have. It's about 3" long, and I did it all with the #1/12 chisel. I might try to do some detail if I get some smaller tools. I've also got to study some ducks to see what they really look like.

If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it must be a duck. Or any one of the three.

The photo is a bit dark, but it sure looks like a duck to me. And a fine one at that. Keep up the great work.

Yep Dave, that's a duck. I think you've done well for a first carving. Keep at it - happy carving.
