Default Where do you buy your carving equipment?

I want to see where everyone buys their carving equipment. I have seen a lot of beginners lately asking where to get carving equipment and this will answer those questions. Also, only vote for the ones you buy from a majority of the time.

The poll results so far are bizarre. There have been 4 votes all for 4 of the choices and they each have 50% of the vote. That comes to 200%.

I voted other since I haven't bought anything from the 4 sources listed. I've bought from Smoky Mountain Woodcarver Supply and The Woodcraft Shop (not Woodcraft)... oh, Treeline and Lee Furgeson, too.

I set it so you can vote for more than one. That is why I said to vote for only the ones you buy from a majority of the time.

The WoodCraft Shop - Online Store

Little Shavers Wood Carving Supply

IMO, if you are buying carving tools buy from someone who is part of and supports the carving community.

IMHO, it is hard too beat The Woodcraft Shop in Bettendorf, Ia.. Good selection, fair prices, doesn't rip you off for shipping and they are big supporters of the Woodcarving Congress. Also, they are very nice to do business with!

The Woodcraft Shop in Bettendorf, Ia is the carving shop I go to also. Quick shipping and very reasonable prices also. Very good people and very helpful, nice people to deal with for sure. Just a happy customer.

I like Woodcraft Shop in Bettendorf, IA and I sure respect and enjoy MDI MDI Woodcarvers Supply but, of course, my favorite is Little Shavers

I buy tools from Gil Drake. He is a vendor at multiple shows along the west coast, and does the Phoenix/Mesa show also. He is also a very good caricature carver, and does carving classes when he has some time to spare.
