hi im kinda new to wood carving. i was wondering how do u get this 3 inch thick bark? im not sure if this qustion is even in the right place. i hope it is. ![]() |

You can also find some really huge stuff from chipping away in Canada, they sell it by the pound. Carl

I collect my cottonwood bark locally. While the really big pieces are rare, I get plenty of pices that are 2"-3" thick, 3"-4" wide, and 12"+ long.

Don't suppose you guys know of anything like that available in the UK do you? I keep seeing all these great bark woodspirits and I'd love to try them but I've never seen a tree with bark thick enough in this country
