looks kinda flimsy to me. I like the Veritas Carver's Vise through Lee Valley

You Can Find The Same Vise At Harbour Frieght For Around Ten Bucks When They Go On Sale. And They Are Flimsy

Marty,

That first one looks good, the second looks . . . interesting. I got the Veritas, and like it, but would be equally happy (maybe more happy) with the Jerry rig BALL VISE.

You might want to take a look at the "Panavise" not a bad vise for light to medium carving really.......
