Default Changes from one year

I was asked to show one of my first carvings, of the human face , well this is the first human portrait type I tried to see how bad it really is this is one of Susan's patterns , called the saint.

Everytime I get into thinking I can't do something I look at this , it is normally near a trash can , as I hope someone will say Oh Lord and trash it .. but it keeps popping up

anyway the changes in carving in 9 months carving time .

Ash

What you accomplished in 9 months, it take most carvers a life time to accomplish.

Outstanding job Garry

I've been carving since 1987 and I haven't accomplished what you have. Wow. Congratulations.

Ash,
You have improved greatly on your talent. Never underestimate your talent. And don't throw that first carving away just so you can see for yourself how much you have improved. I only wish I could say I have improved half as much as you in twice the time.
Keep up the great job.
Mary

The Saint in the foreground is your 1st human face? What - exactly - is wrong about it? I know a couple of guys that look almost exactly like that.

But yes, I can see the improvement between Saint and Abe in the background. You have, indeed, come a long way in a short time. Keep at it, you may be this generations Michelangelo.
