Ive seen a lot of wood sprits in the last few days and I have some Red Ceder
logs very dry. How well will this carve by hand; is it worth the effort or not ?
And the best place to learn on net.

Sounds to me like a great place to start woodspirits. Most of my carvings are in white cedar but I love red cedar and have carved it quite a bit. Cedar is a little hard on the tools you will have to hone them from time to time but carving it should be great.

Thanks for the links, Clilfford, I might have to try one of these. I got too many projects goin now. Is there a limit on how many projects you can have going at one time?
Red cedar makes outstanding wood spirits especially when you get into the heart wood so that parts of the face are white and parts red.
