Default Carving a Wood Spirit in the round

Question for everyone. I see and study every post that comes up regarding tutorials on faces. Most start on the corner of a block. I want to carve spirits on walking sticks, so today I took a small piece of driftwood and started out, (it's only 1 1/2 inch in diameter) and I'm having a heck of a time getting far enough in to give me a half decent nose. Are there any tutorials on this subject that some one could advise me of? Thanks in advance.

Tucker:
yes,if you go to the search bar and type in Carving a Aspen walking stick by Mark Gargac,he gives a step by step that is very clear and easy to follow.Or go to members and find all posts started by Mark Gargac and look for it their.I think this is what you are looking for.

Mark, thanks again, I found it, WOW Whoopee, it's fantastic. Now if I could only figure out how to get it copied one page at a time without all the gobbly gook that goes on the page with it. That being the case, my kindling wood pile would get a lot smaller without all the poor attempts I've tried .
