Default Carving finished from first day 1 of Renegade Roundup

Being a newbie to carving (had 2 months under my belt when I went to the Renegade Round-up), I was ready to pick easier carvings to learn on. When I got ready to pick one for Floyd Rhadigan's class, his advice was to pick one that looked like a challenge...I had had my eye on an easy looking beaver :-) ...my husband picked up a cowboy that looked way beyond anything I would be ready to attempt...but I had told him to pick one that he wanted me to make for him...so...I ended up with this fella. Yes, he was a challenge...and Mr. Floyd Rhadigan did a good bit of the face, gun and opened up a space under one of the arms. Have been working on this guy since I got home from the Round-up and got him painted yesterday. No...he is not perfect...but I sure like him! :-) So does my husband. Ron even built a plexiglass case to keep him in.
...and yes, I learned a lot from taking on this challenge.

Linda

It is an outstanding job. I only hope that I can someday do as well as you have done on this guy. You will be a true artist someday. Great work.
