Default Carving Clubs in Portland Oregon?

Hi All,

I am new to carving and would be interested in finding a carving club in the Portland Metro area. I live in S.E. and work in Tigard. I will check with Woodcraft and Rockler's tomorrow by phone.

Default Don't know...

Was wondering if you had a chance to check out the knives at George & Sons? : If you can catch a woodcarving show somewhere in the area I'm sure you could find some clubs that way.

Chahlie,
I agree, check with Rick, BUT Colwood Electronics club listing shows:

Western Woodcarvers Assoc
World Forestry Center
4033 SW Canyon Road
Portland OR 97221
Email: wilcarv@imagina.com

Larry Piper
Guild Of Oregon Woodworkers
P.O. Box 1866
Portland, OR 97207
(503) 665-0752

So you might try either or both of them for some local information.

You can't go wrong contacting Will Hayden about carving clubs, but his new email address is: willhayden33@comcast.net

Hi All,

Just a note to say I got by George and sons Cuttlery and they have a nice display of carving knives and some sharpening slips and strops in their window. I was late getting into downtown yesterday because of working late...so of course they were closed. But I will make it there soon.
