Hi, i am absolutely brand new to carving. I want to make my own furniture for my bedroom. I have made basic furniture before so i know how to do that. I want to create antique french style furniture with beautiful carvings like the carvings found on armories, headboards, ball and claw feet etc. Im looking for information on how to do these sort of carvings, types of chisels to buy, best wood to work with etc. Would a dremel be able to be used for this? Also looking for construction plans for armoires, bedside tables and information on how to bend/curve wood like on antique french curved beds? Hope somebody can help me! Thanks in advance! Abby |
