You can buy a product called Kurlitz Karvit, it's a 2 part epoxy that is carvable and burnable. I have a birdcarver friend that uses it to attach wings, feet, etc.

mobjack the carved part is 5 1/2 inches long of a 78 inch long piece of cedar.It's 2 1/2 inches in diameter with the eyes set in 1/2 inch so I think there's plenty of room to change the levels.
After seeing the result I think that's what I'll try.I got to practice my eyes.

Ok well I decided to go deeper into it and I think I've got-em about as good as they are going to get from me anyway and I'm ok with them.I'll be happy to get off of the face and see what else I can mess up but I've got to at least do the eyebrows again first.

Easy way and Tommy don't normally collide in the same sentence and I have to admit the Dremel helps a lot to get the material down at least but I might need to upgrade my eye carving tools which would be the two on the right.
