Help I have bubbles in the clear coating of my carving. What should I do and why did this happen?

Not sure which coating you used but I have found that when applying the coating, you first rock the bottle back and forth gently to mix it up, do not shake the bottle. Then, apply it with a brush working in one direction only. Do not go back and forth motion with the brush as this too will form bubbles in the clear coat. Work with a minimum amount in the brush, don't load it up with a lot at one time and use a flat brush, not a round brush....rinse the brush often, just like you would if you were painting with acrylics..... Hope this helps. |
