Default beginners book

can someone recommend a beginners guide/book..maybe something with some tips & info and a few simple patters to follow....I am making contact with Little Shavers to order a beginners tool kit, and will need some guidance, and figured a book might help out a little....tks...Dennis

Hello Dennis,

Welcome if I haven't done so already. When you talk to Rick about the beginner's carving set--great move btw, I have one--ask him about a book to start with. He sells books and he'll set you on a path to what you want to carve and get you started off on the right foot. Good Luck!

"The Beginner's Handbook of Woodcarving"

by

Charles Beiderman & William Johnston

It's one he used to recommend, and it's very good. Covers a lot of territory (and not real expensive either).
