Default beginner project III pics

Here is my finished version of beginners project III. Hopefully it does Rick's cutout justice. This was a lot of fun and I will definately have to try more of these. Thank you very much Rick for doing this! It was a great learning experience.

Amazing how quickly you finished the carving and painting!
I wish my early projects turned out that well.

Great job! Thanks for posting pictures.

I decided to call this little guy "Snuffy". I couldn't get his mouth to not look like he has a chew of snuff in his lip. Gonna have to try again. And before I took the wood out around his tooth it looked as if he was stuffing the snuff around with his tongue.

Here's mine. Carved him on Sunday, painted him today. This is the first carving I have ever antiqued. I used a mix of dark brown paint and water for the antiquing wash. Many thanks to Rick for the project.

Nice one guys. Great project Rick. Another name that can be used is "Snuffy's" twin brother "Scruffy". Those two carvings are different but looks about the same. Interesting.
