Beginner project

One of the first projects I tried as a beginning carver was this puzzle I found in a book on woodcarving & whittling. It has 24 interlocking pieces that form an open frame 4" x 4" x 6" and is designed to lock in a wooden box such as a penny bank. I carved the puzzle in 1950, then added the chip carved box in 2003 - yes, 53 years later!
I can duplicate the pattern and assembly directions if anyone is interested.

I would like the patterns... my son is 13 and always wanting simple projects.

I like this kind of woodwork.

Thanks for your interest. I'm presently traveling so it will be a week or more before I can scan the illustrations of the puzzle pieces and assembly. Phil
