Default Axe from New Years Eve & Day

Here is my take on the axe. This is my 3rd carving and was as fun as the others.
It is my first carving with my new Cape Forge knives. I like them very much.
It was pretty quick to carve. I carved it New Years Eve (I'm a party animal) and painted it and did the scene on New Years Day.

I am putting my post here because I am new. I am not really sure where I am supposed to post the pics of my completed projects. I thought about the WIP area but it is completed, not in progress? Well, if I am doing it wrong let me know please.

Thanks for looking.

I like it Toby, and the painting is really super---so realistic looking, nice way to end the old year and begin the new

That's a really great little scene, Toby! Especially for a "third carving." The axe is excellent, and I like the way you put it all together in the wood chopping area.

As far as where to post things, this section is fine for beginners. As you gain experience with carving and with the forum, you'll post in the section you think best fits.

Thank you for the compliments again. And thanks Jim for letting me know about posting here. I am not new to forums but not a pro either and every forum can differ a bit.

Tobey,

Nice job on the axe, really like how you placed it into the scene.
