Default I asked paint or not - here is the finished project

A few weeks ago I asked whether to paint a carving or not, I decided to paint this one. This is a birthday present for my daughter who is a 7/8 grade Spanish Teacher. The cartoons on the board are drawings I have made for the kids since they were wee ones. Photo attached

Nice one Jim! Great humor and design. Very nice job on the painting. I think it looks great painted....but then it would look great stained also.... I am usually in the same quandry as you - paint or no paint.

This one looks great painted.

Nice carving, Jim!

I see you were in subs - I carved this one for myself about 40 years ago or so - shortly after the insignia was created.
. This photo was made back in the days pre-digital, so I had to actually put together two photographic prints - measures about 14 inches across.

Great insignia! At least you didn't forget the anchors, like I did. It was about a year before I realised I missed it.

Just perfect. The paint is very complimentary to the piece. You done fine! I especially like the blackboard and that shiny tack!
