Anyone heard of GEn Jansen

I have an old loose leaf book by a Gen Jansen on pierced relief carving and I would like to get more information on this topic and more ideas, anyone know of her and anyone else that may have info on this type of carving. I do a lot of scrolling and I thought maybe I could incorporate this in ornaments etc.

Yes indeed I have heard of her, in fact I see her at several carving shows over the year. I see she will be teaching a class at the following:

If you would like to get ahold of her, I am sure the people at carvfest will be able to help you out. I don't know exactly where she is from but must not be too far from Minnesota. I saw her at a show in Faribault last year so she is around the shows.

Hi,

We are friends of Gen Jansen, she lives in St Cloud, MN. My husband Art and her both taught classes in Wahpeton ND and became friends there and for several years she has stopped by our house here in Pacific, while visiting her daughter in a town close by. She likes to trade her books for Art's bark so we have sold quite a few of her books at the wood shows we go to. Her e-mail is gencarves@charter.net if you would like to get ahold of her. Nice lady and likes to visit. We have several of her small carvings from bark, my favorite is the turtle! Art says his favorite is all of them!!
