They look fine to me Olive, I really like the pair with the blue "stones" and the metal findings on top of the sticks add a real proffessional touch..nothing to be shy about there.... John

Olive, Those are beautiful! Don't be shy about your work. It is very professional looking. If I had to pick just one, I like the blue ones. But the wire wrapped ones are a very close second. I just like the blue stones with what looks like tiny dots on them. Are those small wood beads in between? Wanda

Don't know how I missed those comments. Thanks, guys! They took a lot of work but I'm quite pleased. I like those beads too, and good eye wildhare, the little ones are wooden. I've been hording those blue ones in my stash for ages. It may be my favorite part of the whole process- finishing them off with caps and beads. I like the chopstick ones, but I can't help but feel like they're cheating. That one has abalone shells, copper wire and freshwater pearls. I finished another and want to post pics, but haven't decided if I should make my own thread or continue posting them in here. I have a feeling there will be many more to follow- I'm having so much fun! I'm tempted to try and sell them, cause if not I will soon have a house full. haha. |

Hey Olive Juice, I don't mind if you post here, but you can always post your own thread too. What's the difference in shaping chopsticks and shaping wood you cut into chopsick size on a bandsaw and shaped down? Different wood maybe but you still carved them. You should be able to sell your sticks. These two you posted are beautiful. Did yo get my last PM? I think I sent it before we lost power. Wanda

Don't think so... Maybe you could resend, if it's in your outbox?
