Seeing that a number of you are already cranking out bunches of Santas (me included) and being that lasts years SantaCarverHolics thread had a good response http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/f30/santacarverholics-unite-36018/ I thought this would be a good time to start off another SantaCarverHolic thread. This time around I'd thought it would be fun to ask - You know you are a SantaCarverHolic when.... I'll' start... You know you are a SantaCarverHolic when you carve at least one Santa each month of the year. ps- Feel free to include a photo to back up your claim. Okay your turn

Yes....sort of like Goody said, but I been wanting to carve one, ....no it is not Halloween. I thought the wicked witch on the Wizard of OZ was scary, but this evil side of Santa beats them all. Bet you all the children in the alpines are good when they see this guy walking down the street......In old-school German folklore, Krampus filled out St. Nick’s mythic entourage to play bad cop to Santa’s good. For those on the naughty list, Krampus got downright medieval. Traditionally depicted with huge horns, a black mane, talon-like claws (Krampus comes from the Old German for “claw”), and wielding chains and a birch rod, Santa’s enforcer beat, whipped and shamed bad children. Sometimes, Krampus went so far as to shove his victims into a sack and throw that into a river. yiks!!! yes some day I will carve him, especially when I get so sick of santas that I need a break....smile....

You know you are a SantaCarverHolic when no matter whose rough out you are using, they always look like Santa.

| You know you are a SantaCarverHolic when your knee doctor says you’ll be off work for 6 weeks and your only thought is “will I have enough bass wood”.

........when you realize you have absolute freedom to carve him anyway you want, put him in red and white, and somebody will come along and love him and want to buy him.
