Default Xmas boot

Ok, here is my second boot carving.

I did this one me. I like to carve boots, and after I gave the Xmas Spirit I carved to my wife I decided to do this one.

I used pine for the carving.

That's a nice looking boot, Gilles. I think you have boots down pretty well.

Thanks ... I'm glad that you like...

It's strange, but reading your posts gave me an idea for the next one.

Cool...

Nice boot and the Xmas tree adds a special touch to it, by the way, you could also show some presents stuffed into the top of the boot, kinda like Santa's bag of goodies. Just a thought. Bill

Giles - that's very nice..... really nice.
It's so nice that I think lots of them with a tiny hanger would look GORGEOUS on a Christmas tree. Oh, what beautiful ornaments they would make.

You just found the idea I had...

I also thought about adding a cat, or a dog, depending on the taste of the receivers.

I just finished another one a few minutes ago, but that one is not a Xmas boot. I wanted to test my finishing technique on a standard boot, and it seems to work well for any type of boots.

But your comments are a good motivation for carving a few more Xmas boots... And you're right Nancy, I think I will prepare some and put them in a Xmas tree.

Thanks for the motivation and the interest.

Gilles
