Default Wine Santa

I started this Santa about 18 months ago and I finally finished him last night. He started out as a gift for a friend who owned a winery - the friendship kinda fell to the wayside and so did the Santa. I decided it was time to finish this guy and I can see all the things I need to change in him but thought I would share with you.

Very cute!
So, does that mean that you get to keep him?
That makes a great ornament of the year.

I agree! Nice painting!! I'm sorry the friendship didn't work out, but at least you have the santa! I think it's great!

Definitely a NIFTY little fellow!
Is the holly carved or relieved, or just painted?

Nice work!

Thank you! Yup, that means I get to keep him. Although he is going home to Calgary with me for Christmas so I can show him to my family - which could mean he'll be Santa-napped.

The grapes and the holly are just painted on. The grapes were a last minute idea as the barrel just looked too plain without them.
