Default Whiney Santas

RecentlyI purchased a truck load of figured lumber and broke out my old mini lathe and turned some wine bottle stoppers. We just finished up a batch of small spindle santas and when Anna brought them down from her paint room it hit me. Told her I would be back in a couple of minutes. Headed out to the shop and mounted a stopper fitting to the Santa spindle. When I brought it back in Anna asked me how many spindles do I have left carve. I think shes going to keep me busy!

Goody, those are really beautiful...and I like that stopper/pointy thing on the bottom. I know you said they are bottle stoppers but that over all piece/shape would make a terrific tree ornament too. Maybe just turn and taper to a point, another piece of wood to go on the bottom instead of a stopper piece? Anyhow, they are fantastic...and your wife out did herself on the paint job.

I agree they are outstanding bottle stoppers. The design is perfect.

The santa's are great but those turned natural ones with the figured wood are the cat's meow .
