Default WCI/Dave Francis Santa...

I'm just now painting this Santa From the 2010 WCI Holiday issue. I attempted to get it to look like the one in the magz. The face was a little different than what I usually carve, but I think I got it 'close'.
Also...last picture is an ornament I recently finished.
Thanks for looking, comments welcome!

Very very nice. I also like the painted santa. I wish I could get the cheeks on my carvings to look as rosy.

Thanks Di, it's a busy time of year, but I try to keep up with what's going on around here.
Ken, save some of those pretzels for Santa.
Art, put in a good word for me with your best friend when you see him!
Nomad, Thanks. go light on the color for cheeks.

You did an excellent job on that Santa. I have studied that pattern a dozen times but have not attempted doing it. I like your ornament also especially the way you painted the trim and ball on the hat.
