Default Valantines Locket

I made this for my mother who has been in poor health lately to cheer her up. I made the Hinge and since I had no power tools I carved both heart pieces out then I hand Sanded both pieces Carved the one piece round then sanded it to smooth it out. I then took magnetic tape and taped it on the insides of both pieces in strips then I cut around the tape so it was shaped with the heart. I then printed out the photos and glued them on and cut around the shape as well.. I finished the piece by Painting and putting a gloss finish.

We sometimes forget that it is the very simplest and humblest of all things, that have the greatest impact on us all. The Bible teaches us that the least will be first, and the first will be least. The word also teaches that the simplest of all forms confound the wisest of all. Though you made it from foundational tools, it is the very foundational connection of this carving that impacts the heart in the very deepest corner! I honor and revere the simplest of all things straight from the heart for they are the extension of all goodness and humanity toward mankind... Love truly does make the world go round! I absolutely love this carving as it really shows the light of love shinning through! I really and surely miss my mother...
