Default Two Egghead Father Christmas

Two Father Christmas from bass wood eggs. Pictures from an older file. The second is two-faced, sleeper on one side and eyes on the other. This makes a great hit when people first see it. Hang from a small eye hook.

Thanks gentlemen for the enocuragement. I do like the double face one.

Jim and others, I am not sure where I posted it, but on another thread I tried to clarify my position. I am fairly new to the forum. I have a back log of pics and carvings waiting to be photoed that no one here has seen. I want to make it clear that I have not carved all of the pieces I have shared in the past four months since I have joined. I have so enjoyed the forum that I wanted to share things I have. Perhaps in the future I should put dates with pieces so youall will know when it is new or recycled for the forum. I have been carving about 250 pieces a year so there may be a bit of catch up - no I won't show them all, that would be too much like the old family slide show. I will try to share a sampling of each type I have done and some of the good ones.

The pics and threads will fall off come June. I am headed for China, via California, for six weeks. I will be teaching English. I will look for pics of good Chinese wood carving.

Again, Jim and others, thanks for the supportive comments.

As I said, if you are doing 250 pieces a year, you are cranking out some work. My quantity is about the same as yours minus the zero LOL. Your trip sounds great. I hope you enjoy the many sights which are abundant. The airport constructed for the Olympics is unbelieveable! Will any of the Olympics be on your agenda? Are your students being groomed for tourists to the Olympics? Sounds like a wonderful trip! At one time I had a peach seed carved by a Chinese fellow and the detail was fantastic. Sold it to Harold Enlow during a class as he seemed to really like it. Kinda got off subject ;O). Keep those posts coming as its always a pleasure to see your work.

Ornament swap? Obviously there will be a thread here somewhere on that Gene, but would you enlighten me?
