Default Snowman for my Grandaughter

Just finished this simple carving of a snowman. It's for a 2 yr. old so there are no protruding arms, hands or other acrutments to get broken off and stick her. It's just 8" tall, carved from a block of "southern basswood" sent this way by Bob from Tn. I always thought the southern bass was supposed to be soft and punky.....HA! This stuff is as hard as maple.

This was also my first project since the rotator cuff surgery in Jan and the arm is finally getting enough strength back to hold onto a carving for a while.

Al

Very cool Al, I agree your grandaughter will love it. I hope you heal up fast.
Take care and don't do nothing to slow down the healing progress.
