Default Singing to The Choir 2011 Santa

Anna and I have been carving and painting 12 to 14 hours a day for three weeks straight, only taking off for doctors appointments and getting supplies in. Its Ten after ten Saturday night and we just packed the last order. Probably be midnight before we wind down again tonight. Up in the am and head for the Candlelight tour In Harve DeGrace Md. We Have been doing this show for 15 years now and is one of our most profitable shows of the year. We will introduce our 2012 Santa and do carving and painting demonstrations the rest of the day. Still no rest as Monday I have to start the lumber yards 10 Santa's and thees still 8 outstanding orders the customers said as long as they get it on Christmas eve and it looks like we are going to take them up on it.
But you know what, we love it. It wouldn't be the Christmas season if we didn't have the stress of deadlines. Poor Anna is asleep before we say good night I will notice her up at 4:00 am painting Holly on something. I find Mcnuggets is my main nourishment as its cheap quick and easy when we are busy. Sorry for the lousy pictures but don't have time to break out the lighting and the good Camera tonight.

And here is the 2012 Santa and one I carved from a scrap piece of old wormy Chestnut. The wood is just has too much character to paint, we are going to just put a finish on him.

Great job Goody wow those are fabulous carvings and equally fabulous painting. You certainly have been busy and your efforts are out of this world. Good luck on the shows my friend and you and Anna have a really merry Christmas and a very prosperous new year.
