Default Silly Santa Ornament

Hello All,
I had so much fun carving the Santa blank from "Decoy" that I drew up a Santa ornament and carved it. I have posted it in the Holiday section of the "Carver galleries" I couldn't get it to post here for some reason. Also I posted the pattern there, so if you would like to carve one or bunches for your self go ahead!
All I ask that you give credit for the design to me,I don't care if you sell them or whatever. Any how take a look and tell me what ya"ll think. I figure that if "Decoy" can give away blanks, I can give away this pattern. Also I have a different version of this same pattern that I will carve soon, and I will post the picture and pattern then. If you do carve the pattern please post a picture here so we can see what ya"ll do with it, change it, change colors ect.
Have fun and enjoy!
GaryMc

Great ornament! Glad you enjoyed the carving the blank. I will surely return the favor and carve an ornament from the pattern and post it as soon as its done.

I like it,I'm going to try it and I have to say thank heavens for people who can draw an original pattern. My printer is down so i figured I would copy it freehand. Hah, even using my drawing program to put a grid over the pattern it is barely recognizable as Retry's santa. But I think I like the squashed hat mine's wearing g:-) Thanks retry, Don

I loved your ornaments.Where did you find the hangers in the tops of each.I've been unable to locate a source.I've tried the wire hoops with poor results.I'd appreciate any input.Thank :-] Maryjo

Hello MaryJo,
Thanks for your comments! What I use for my ornaments is a simple screw eye that I bought as Lowes, any hardward store should have them.

Great Santa and other carvings shown on your website!
And, Mary Jo, I've gotten the little screw-eyes at places like Walmart (back with the nails and screws) and Hobby Lobby and Michaels. I'll check and see if I still have some and will bring them to carving club when I can make it back to a regular meeting.

Ok Retry,
I promised I would carve one of the ornaments. Then decided to carve another. I decided to change your pattern aROUND a bit. I will finish him up in the next few days and get Anna to paint them. She wants me to draw up some patterns for in the round ornaments. Thanks for the great idea.
Goody
Ps. I really can carve something other than a roughout LOL.
