Default Shop part of Christmas Tour

I've been hoodwinked into getting my carving shop in order to be part of a fundraiser in our home. My daughter is part of a school Jazz Band so the missus agreed to show off her many Christmas decorations and village this weekend...and I was voluntold to prepare a "Santa Workshop" to be part of the tour. Well here are some shots of how I displayed the carvings which many of you have seen already. I also included two WIP - a large nosey character and the early stages of a female. If you look hard in the pictures, you will see the start of a Samuri I keep coming back too. He has a lot of wood to come off but you can see the shape starting. Hope we raise some funds as it took a lot of time to clean up the shop to make it presentable to visitors. Perhaps it will be worth it and I'll have some funds of my own to get more tools. Thanks for having a look.
Patrick

That is a neat idea and thanks for posting the pics. I realize now how large some of your recent carvings really are!

Thumbs up Re: Shop part of Christmas Tour

Excellent set up Patrick you have quite a few done, good luck with the showing. I don't think I could ever get my shop cleaned up like that .

Good luck on your fund raiser. I don't see how anyone could resist your work. I love the word you coined..."voluntold".

Heh heh - yeah, "voluntold" - that's hilarious. LOL Good luck with the tour Patrick. I have been trying to get my garage/storage area/dump... uh... "shop" cleaned & set up for years. Just when I get close...bam! It get's overrun with miscelaneous detritus & large items to temporarily store again, and there goes the "shop". Ah well. Your's looks like a beaut after all your work. Love your carvings. I'm sure you'll be a big hit Santa!

Resign yourself to your fate Patrick! We who must obey, have to do what we are told, to keep peace in the family! I know your pain!!!

Nice display BTW, it should be quite popular! Can't wait to see progress on your warrior!

Nice pictures Patrick. Question I have a segment of Birch with bark on I'm wanting to carve and been wondering if I have to wait for it to dry. I would like to carve something similiar to what you've done. It's about 7 or 8 months old from the cutting.
