Default Scary Clown

This is what happens when I'm in the carving dungeon too long.
Okay... actually I was commissioned to do a scary clown of my choice and this is who showed up. This is my first scary clown. I think my first of many now. He was fun. For those of you with a clown phobia... my apologies. I may have a new twisted niche.
He is 7-1/2" tall and carved from basswood.
Happy Halloween.

Very nice job on the carving. Very scary clown even if he is "smiling."

Lundy that's a great face. You did a great job of scrunching up his grin lines to exaggerate the smile. He certainly is creapy looking. Well done.

Thanks guys.
I can't wait to start another one. I have to knock out a few other carvings first though.
The cool thing about a clown is that you can go just about anywhere with it, taking facial features to the extreme. I will be doing several others in the near future for sure.
Hey Againstthegrain,
Cracked me up. I'm not chipping in for your electric bill... or therapy either.

Man that's really a cool piece, cant wait to see more like him. So did you draw out a pattern first or did you just start on him and let the wood tell you what the face should be like?
