Default Santas "All Year Long!"

Hi Everyone! I'm new to this message board. Teri Embry told me I have to get onto this thing....so here I am. If any of you have a min...check out my website at www.snowcottagecarvings.com. I've been carving for just over 10 years now, and full time for the last 2 years. I just love to do this all day long. About 99% of my carvings are Santas. That is where my love of carving is...and I'd just rather stick with what I love to do. If you have time to check out the website gallery, make sure you sign the guestbook while your there. Hope to talk to lots of you in the future. Dave

Welcome Dave! I just checked out your site (thanks for the 'clickable link', Nancy!). Wow, I love them, you certainly have a great imagination!!!
I have only been carving for two and a half years and only half a year on Santas. I can't wait to be able to do it full time, I love it!
Thanks for sharing your site with us, Callynne

Hi Everyone, thanks for your kind words. HI NANCY!!! I'm probably the last person you expected to see on here! Someday I'll get up to your carving level of expertise! I'm just plugging away. I must admit it still feels strange somedays to realize that I get to carve for a living. Good strange somedays...and really SCARY strange other days. A good carver friend said this one day about carving for a living....' it sure beats WORKING for a living doesn't it!', and he was very right! Its a great gift to be able to do everyday, what we LOVE to do. Keep up the good work everyone, and I'm glad to be on here finally! Dave

Dave!!! Hi, glad to see you finally got here!! I agree, it's great to be able to do what we love on a full-time basis. I've only been at it for less than a year, but I'm loving it so far. LOL...but I admit I keep waiting for that 'shoe' to drop down on my head that says,

[move]'Wake up, you're dreaming!! Now get out there and find a job!!!'[/move]

Dave,
Wonderful work! Site looks good too. Simple, but a good easy site navigation. May it bring you lots of purchases.

Teri,
Even if the shoe did hit you. I bet you would only go back to sleep.
You all do great things with wood. I hope to be a third as good someday.

Brad
