Default Santa with teeth and wrinkled Santa

Here is the painted version of my last small Santa ornament. The wrinkled Santa is one I have been wanting to do and I really like the way the wrinkles turned out. The texture of the skin seems to add a layer of realism.... I keep waiting for him to blink. I was considering entering it in the WCI contest, but I'm not sure if it meets the originality requirement. You can probably see the influences of Gargac, Shinlever, Lynn Doughty, Millard, Susan Irish, and most every other carver on this board to some degree or another! I'm trying to improve my photography skills also, so any advice, comments, and recommendations would be great!

I could n't give you any advice on carving or photography. As for originalty I believe we're all influenced by something or someone.
Whatever a boony job there.

Hey Mike... great job on the wrinkles! He looks fantastic... check with Bob and Shannon but I think he is original enough to enter!

Carve on...
